COMVIS - PLAYING WITH LIGHTING/SHADOWS

In "How to be a Villain", I produced the main animation and did the coloring in Toon Boom Studio. However, I was unsure how to make shadows on the characters without using the drop shadow effect (which didn't do exactly what I wanted) or coloring manually with a slightly lighter/darker color. So instead, I took the rendered video and dropped it into Photoshop, which allowed me to go along the timeline and select areas that I wanted to be altered with the lasso tool.

It took a couple of hours but it was a fairly straight forward and personal process. I like getting really close to my work and doing something very carefully and with detail. Below are screen shots of this shadowing process.
